     It looks like you've imported a different class for the mediaType property in MediaItem. It should be "org.jboss.jdf.example.ticketmonster.model.MediaType" instead of "javax.ws.rs.core.MediaType". This class (org.jboss...model.MediaType) should have a description field and a getDescription method.
