We definitely do in portal and most website would do. Most of the time 
you can still connect to a website even if the social network is down.
Either during first connection with a social network they ask you to 
provide a password, or one is created randomly and the day you need it 
you use the "remember my password" feature of the website.

Each social networks gives you a userId unique for the network.
