Yes, I have been following the guide :) The only change to the process is
that, to speed up the build, i wanted to skip tests.

OS: MacOSX 10.13.6
Java: 1.8.0_131 (i.e. > JDK 8)
Maven: 3.6.1 (i.e. > 3.1.1)
