Jim Tyrrell commented on MODCLUSTER-165:
----------------------------------------
It might, and this is the use case. I have setup httpd, I think I am good, but for whatever reason I never see my JBoss instances show up in the mod_cluster-manager. Wouldn't it be nice from the JBoss machine see if I can get across the network to that port. I am always amazed at the security lock downs that are at customer sites, and the headaches our massive use of ports creates for us in these environments.

> The default landing screen before any jboss servers have connected is very thin. It would be nice to see a splash screen to have the ability to see that everything is installed correctly, but it is not yet listening or farming any content to the JBoss server instances.
