This is addressed in version 1.1.0. There are JMX methods to stop either a single web application, or all contexts on a server.

> Key: MODCLUSTER-166

> Project: mod_cluster

> Currently it appears that mod_cluster only supports the idea of having a server be active, or one that is not accepting any new connections. Should it not support the idea of immediately getting rid of a node from handling any processing.
