Repository of protocols and codecs?

I think it will be a good idea to have a repository of protocols and/or
codecs for netty.  For example, someone could write the codec for AMQP or
FIX and not worry about writing the full protocol.  Someone else could build
on top of these codecs and flesh out the protocol more completely.

I like how modular netty is, why not take advantage of it?
