netty SSL trouble with gmail server

Hi, trustin 

Please help me with the following question, thank you very much! 

I have to implement a IMAP4 client with netty. GMAIL email can support IMAP4
, but should use SSL mode. 
When  I connect the GMAIL email, I can send login command, and can received
successful response feom the server, 
but when I send the second command, the sever does'n give me any response. 

Also, I use the securechat demo and change the host to "imap.gmail.com" and
port to 993, I send the login command and the server sends successful
response to me, but when I send the second command, the sever does't give me
any response. 

PS: I'm using netty-3.1.5.GA version!
