SSLException in SslHandler; based on SecureChat example

I am running into this issue as well.  I can reproduce this exception on
Windows and FC10 boxes < 5% of the time.  These boxes are all multi-core. 
I'll see if I can modify the test code referrered to below to reproduce the
intermittent exception.
