Hi Trustin,
thank you for your reply. I did understand that I can invoke my application
from a servlet. That's fine. So the remaining question mark on my mind is
"how to communicate with my netty server from and to my application?". My
netty server is supposed to make socket i/o with many non-netty clients.
Since it's an online web application I don't want to connect to my netty
server as a netty client from my application. So either I should communicate
with the servlet through JMS or through my database. So shall I employ
hornetq for the JMS alternative? Communication through db might be fine. Or
what else do you recommend?
