ExecutorUtil.terminate() can't stop executors

Hi all,

I can't stop Netty by calling bootstrap.releaseExternalResources();
I noticed that ExecutorUtil.terminate() isn't able to terminate one of my
executors (the NIO server worker).
How can I shutdown netty properly?
