Hmm I have just put together a simple server which somewhat models what I am
doing in my app but I am unable to reproduce. It must be a problem with my
code, based on the exception do you have any suggestions where to look?

Unfortunately I cannot provide the source code for the application, nor
would it probably do much good as it is a large spring/osgi app with many
maven dependencies which do not live on standard repos.
