HTTP large transfer proxy & ChunkedWriteHandler?

I am trying to proxy a large HTTP PUT transfer where the destination server
does not support chunked transfer.  I need to calculate a checksum of the
POST data as it is streamed through.  Can this be done with
ChunkedWriteHandler?

I've looked at the LittleShoot proxy, but it seems to buffer the entire
message into memory.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
