Thank you for your responses and sorry for my slow response, I'm doing this
in my spare time (is there such a thing?). In answer to your request to see
an example, I must IPS (I plead stupid) because upon looking closer at an
example (websites on the WWW) it turns out that the query string is not put
on by the response but rather a script. The query string in this context is
used to support the back button on a browser for a dynamic HTML application.
Boy, do I have egg on my face. Thank you for fielding my question.
On aside, Don's idea is interesting.
