Thread contention

Thanks Trustin, my biggest concern is some kind of DOS attack ramping up
resource usage on the server. Ideally I would like to throttle the network
events before they hit my handler chain.

I am looking into those classes now to understand how they are marshaling IO
events onto the thread pool.
