Deploying netty services

I am planning to deploy few netty services in QA environment.
Would like to know what is the best way to deploy these?
Standalone services or deploy it as part of the Jboss AS?
Any suggestions/guidelines?
Any pointers to the deployment models and related documentation would be
great.
