Client Connection is not timeout after specified time

Thanks for your reply.  
 
  But problem is not with establishing connection with server .Actually 
Problem is that after establishing connection,  if i am not getting any
response for request from server client is waiting for server response and
thread is live for ever. How to set time for this scenario. 

 My apologies for mentioned that as a connection timeout.
