HTTP Tunneling assistance

Hello,
I am trying to use HTTPTunnelingServlet to tunnel the request to the local
server. I might be missing something here. According to the documentation
  <pre>
     Deploy this in JBossAS 5 or other IoC container by adding the following
bean.
   * &lt;bean
name="org.jboss.netty.example.http.tunnel.LocalEchoServerRegistration"
   *      
class="org.jboss.netty.example.http.tunnel.LocalEchoServerRegistration"
/&gt;
   * </pre>
I am using Jetty web container. I am not using spring currently, but does it
mean that this has dependency on a IoC container?
If so, can some one please send me a sample war of the configurations, It
would be really helpful
