Local Pipeline for message preparation

Hello,
Is there a way to use a pipeline to prepare a message for broadcasting it to
many clients? E.g. I would like to use the ObjectEncoder & ZlibEncoder etc.
to prepare a big message. When sending the message to multiple clients I
would just pass through the resulting ChannelBuffer. Is the
org.jboss.netty.channel.local.* the way to go?
