Eric Wittmann commented on SRAMP-433:
-------------------------------------
I would defer to those with more eventing/JMS experience than me. However, it does seem like a serialized java object isn't ideal. I would also think that each event would at least need a small set of standard properties such as 'type' - no? I'm wondering what a typical CEP system would need to see. Does anyone have experience with Drools CEP? I did some Esper a long time ago. I think those are the types of things we'd want to leverage to react in interesting ways to the events.

> Currently dtgov monitors s-ramp for changes by polling. It would be more efficient if dtgov could listen for events it cared about.
> Ideally we could add a listener to the s-ramp repository either at the global level or by including a filter of some kind, so we can make sure to get only a subset of the total events coming from the server.
