Looks like the underlying shadow, translucent layer below and too complex rendering makes this component unusable for sites with wide audience. It's to risky that it will kill user's browser for 5-10 seconds (real time for simple modal panel on some linux boxes (Core Duo 2,1 Ghz amongst them)). On a Windows box with a 1.2 Ghz processor it renders 2-4 seconds. This problem has been confirmed here (no, it's not Firefox bug, Opera behaves exactly in the same way):

This lightweight mode could be forced by an attribute - c'mon what's useful here is that it pops up with embedded :include tag... It doesn't have to be pretty and have cool gradient etc.
