step to reproduce :

http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/modalPanel.jsf?c=modalPanel 

with FF and window -> it works
with FF and MAC/OS -> freeze
with safari and MAC/OS -> booom safari is not reponding...
