defaultTime attribute defines time that will be used:

1) to set time when the value is empty
2) to set time when date changes and resetTimeOnDateChange = true

value can be parseable string (check whether DateFormat with lenient = true allows to handle arbitrary strings)

Date/Calendar - only time is used, date is ignored
