Simple app to reproduce the problem, deployable on jboss 4.2.2.
Ignore the name, re-used a seam sandobx app of mine.

Steps:

1.Go /seam/index.html
2. Click the "Add" link
3. Open up a4j log 
4. Type something into the input box and click search
5. There should be a parse errer in the a4j log
