For rich:dropDownMenu component,  menuItem/group tags are used to contruct the dropdown menu. 

For our application, we have a tree-structured commands that we need to show a dropDown Menu. The tree structured commands are dynamically created at runtime.  Like rich:tree,  a tree-structured data model for rich:dropDownMenu is needed.
