Cannot reproduce issue with the following code:


		<rich:dataTable value="#{forum5Bean.lotOfData}" rows="10" reRender="scroller" var="item">
			<f:facet name="header">
				<rich:datascroller id="scroller" />
			</f:facet>
			<rich:column sortBy="#{item}" filterBy="#{item}">
				<rich:message styleClass="errors break" for="age" />
				<h:inputText id="age" value="#{item}" required="true" />
			</rich:column>
		</rich:dataTable>

Using RF 3.3.3.Final. Please try upgrading to this version and reopen the issue if the problem still persists.
