While the various knobs and switches are availble for a developer to implement their own filtering and sorting it is far more complicated than in RF3 and than in other component libraries.

It would be nice to be able to support the following

<rich:column sortBy="#{foo.bar}">

Which would rendering sorting behaviors and icons in the column headers.
