In discussion, we have decided to go with last proposal {{@Push("topic") Event<Payload>}} (on forums).

Solution has been prototyped here:
https://github.com/lfryc/richfaces-cdi-push-prototype

I will be introduced in 4.1.0.M3 without Arquillian-based tests.
Tests will be added as part of 4.2 efforts
