There is no such sample provided in the showcase for rich:notify that would prevent rendering of notifications (rich:notify) in Richfaces 4.2 on page re/load.
As I consider showcase beeing a reference of usage, I believe there should be provided a sample in case there is such an option.

On the other hand, if there is no such option, probably new bug should be created for it as well.
Otherwise I don't see rich:notify component to be usable in the real world apps.
