If you experience this problem and still using richfaces 3.3.x - please ignore comment above by Thomas Cerny, it doesn't change anything (btw I've no idea how it should since it's just swapping variable name in the local context).

To make it quick - just apply the supplied patch (processEffect.js.patch) to the formentioned processEffect.js file - current solution there uses two of the top 10 JS worst practices: with and eval :)
