I don't think that changing documantation is a solution. This would make the usage of the component "dangerous".
If an invalid value is entered the component must block navigation and has to force that the application stays on the view.
It is dangerous that, by pressing a button, I leave the page and the old value is still in the backing bean....and I don't even see it.
