First, thank you for this quick answer!

I had tried it as soon as I saw your git pull request and using the {{loading}} facet instead of {{defaultContent}} works like a charm.

I could not tell which of the solution is best though. 

I'd prefer {{loading}} since we could just fix our code so that it can work right now and it would still work with the next release but on the other hand, those already using {{defaultContent}} and waiting for it to be fixed would have to fix their stuff on the next release (Though no one logged any issue about this issue until now).

But since this has been broken for a certain time, if you wish to make it semantically more accurate, I think now is the perfect timing!
