Using Chromium 23.0.1271.95 I'm not able resize extendedDataTable column. Tried on  localhost:8080/metamer/faces/components/richExtendedDataTable/rf-11850.xhtml and on http://localhost:8080/metamer/faces/components/richExtendedDataTable/filtering.xhtml (the same for sorting using column: http://localhost:8080/metamer/faces/components/richExtendedDataTable/sorting-using-column.xhtml)

Not sure if it is just by Chromium version, I'm just after update and machine restart.
