To deploy application, you need to perform following steps:
# unzip showcaseRedirect.zip
# download and unzip GAE Python SDK http://code.google.com/appengine/downloads.html#Google_App_Engine_SDK_for_Python
# run *./appcfg.py update /path/to/the/directory/showcaseRedirect*
# it will ask you for your credentials

In the case that you need to change application name, update file app.yaml (zip contains app name "richfaces-showcase"). I deployed it on GAE on showcase-redirect.appspot.com and it seems to work fine.
