I stopped the app using {{rhc app stop -a showcase}} and nuked the vfs manually on the server (via ssh):

rm -rf jbosseap/standalone/tmp/vfs/
{code}

then restarted the app with {{rhc app start -a showcase}}.  After this, the quota shows:
