OK; git cloned mvel, ran mvn -U clean install on it...

...and IT fails:

Failed tests:
  testStrictTypingCompilation(org.mvel2.tests.core.CoreConfidenceTests)

Tests in error:
  testAmazed(org.mvel2.compiler.GenericsTypeInferenceTest)

I'll build it, I guess, skipping tests, and then see if I can at least
compile Drools against it.
