[rules-dev] help - contains not working using drools 3.0.5

Hello,

We are using Drools 3.0.5 version. I am using the contains syntax as below.
$variable is a bind variable which is not recognized. Please help me in
identifying the problem. 

List contains $variable

Do we have to upgrade to the latest version to work with contains operator?
