Sounds like a good idea. <div><br></div><div>I think the challenge of spanning packages will be the common things between packages (which I think there is some limited support for) - but it is (or was) often asked for. <br>

yes.. sounds great.. the main restriction when I think about guvnor is the idea of package.. <br>should be nice to have something like a workspace(as mark mention) with multiple packages in it and associated assets that can be used across packages.<br>

This is a little related to how I'd like to move forward for
deployment. The current Package deployment model is sub optimal.
People really want to think in terms of workspaces/projects. So
they'll want to collect their knowledge for their knowlegebase and
see it in a single workspcae which can be configured for deployment.
Having a GUI spring configuration is certainly a step in that
direction.<br>
