[rules-users] Some Fusion clarification

Maybe I should rename this post 'con-fusion'.  

Of course it would be nice if it had a stats module, but I don't mind
writing a few accumulate methods.  The problem for me is just working out
how one is meant to pump through the historic data...  Are either of my
methods in question 2 suggested practice?
