[rules-users] How to install and configure the oryx designer in Drools-guvnor ?

I don't know why, but I can't access the blog you mention, so I'm not sure
which steps did you follow.
>From your logs, it seems you are using jboss AS 2.1.1, am I right? I'm not
sure how to check if a particular webapp is deployed or not in jboss AS,
but the first thing you can check is the output log of the app server to
see if there is any error there.
By the way, what is the exact name of the .war file you are deploying?

And regarding your last question, you don't need to have eclipse plugin
installed in order to run designer.
