That depends - what do "different instances" mean? If they're actually a
high-availability cluster, use one set of database tables and configure
a Guvnor+Jackrabbit cluster around it. That's the way to achieve they
all see and use the same data.
If the two instances are to be kept apart from each other, and keep
their own separate data, then definitely don't use the same DB tables.
It's quite easy to configure Jackrabbit to use different DB account
and/or different table names.
