[rules-users] Process's state does not get persisted properly in jBPM 5.3 and Drools 5.4

We have recently taken up the migration from Jbpm 5.2 to jbpm 5.4 and I am
running into this exact same issue. Can you please let me know if you are
able to find a solution for this?
