[rules-users] operating with date in drools

Hi

 I have  2 dates in my rule. i need to compare between those rules.  how to
do this in drools expert.

ex:  in my rule i have effective date and start date

When

 effective date is before start date

then

 I need to do something

 I have  a ques what is the syntax of date which drools by default supports.
is there any syntax for date in drools.
