We have the same problem for seam-managed PCs that we used to have for the jBPM Session: in an MDB, the transaction is committed after the contexts are cleaned up. Currently we close the PC when the context is destroyed, when the tx would still be active.

Probably Hibernate tolerates this, but if I recall correct it is an exceptional case in JPA.
