David Richmond commented on JBSEAM-963:
---------------------------------------

JSF "it's a standard" is the only thing going for it.

Having used JSF (Facelets, MyFaces + Tomahawk) on several projects and evaluated ICEfaces I have come to the conclusion that JSF, as it currently stands, is a dead end. I do not want to turn this feature report into a forum thread, my thoughts are more or less echoed here

by 'Leo Lipelis' comments.

I am pushing my bosses to drop JSF, which means Seam is not an option as it currently stands.

I do not see why SEAM needs to be dependant on JSF, especially in light of the recent Red Hat / JBoss purchase of Exadel/Ajax4JSF which could take over the JSF stuff from SEAM leaving SEAM free to do what it is best at.
