Allow a <page> in pages.xml to override "inherited" <param>
-----------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBSEAM-3167
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-3167
Project: Seam
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 2.0.2.SP1
Reporter: Daniel Wiell
When having a rest-style webapp, it's convenient to use a scheme like this to carry state between pages:
<page view-id="/booking/*">
<param name="bookingId" value="#{bookingController.booking}" converter="#{bookingConverter}" required="true"/>
</page>
Sometimes however, one might want to override this parameter. For example, maybe you use the same page to edit a booking as when you create a new booking. In this case, you don't want the param to be required:
<page view-id="/booking/editBooking.xhtml">
<param name="bookingId" value="#{bookingController.booking}" converter="#{bookingConverter}" required="false"/>
</page>
Currently, this will not work - you get a validation error. It would be a great if this worked.
