This change would be immensely helpful. I can't watch the RSS all day and frequently miss replies to posts that I have tried to help with. IMO email is the only way to go for this. Even if it was RSS feed per topic, users would have to monitor that. The new forum is so much better than the old one in every way *except* these notifications.
