I'd gladly submit a patch if you can tell me that this is something you'd consider integrating into the codebase. In other words, I don't want to commit the time if there's no chance of it making it into the codebase. I'd rather you set the bug to WONTFIX than do the work and have it discarded :) Please let me know.
