The <spring:context-loader> loads fine in Seam 2.0.2 (I didn't verify it on Seam 2.0.1, but I'm pretty sure it works there too). Perhaps you have an old Seam JAR on the classpath. Also, if Eclipse is complaining about it in your components.xml, you might need to flush you XSD cache in Eclipse.
