Hello, 

the use case for this is to be able to modularize a seam application in several jar, where each jar is self consistent in terms of all web resources, including navigation rules, to allow reuse of such modules between several seam application. More or less what is being done by the seam wiki with the plugins. (I'm saying this cos at http://www.seamframework.org/Community/ToExtendSeamsPagesComponent, Pete was asking for a use case).

I'm not sure about the solution proposed in this issue, but definitely making a couple of method of the current pages implementation public would greatly simplify a solution like the one posted at http://www.seamframework.org/Community/OverridingXhtmlAndPagaxmlFilesInATransparentWay
