Maven root project should define a version.seam.major property to use in filters
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: JBSEAM-4042
                 URL: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBSEAM-4042
             Project: Seam
          Issue Type: Feature Request
          Components: Build
    Affects Versions: 2.1.1.GA
            Reporter: Felix Hoßfeld
            Priority: Trivial

It would be helpful if the Seam root project would define the major version - e.g. "2.1" for 2.1.1.GA - as a Maven property that would be availabe in the Maven filters:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<page xmlns="http://jboss.com/products/seam/pages"
      xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
      xsi:schemaLocation="http://jboss.com/products/seam/pages http://jboss.com/products/seam/pages-${version.seam.major}.xsd">

</page>

IMHO opnion it would simplify the upgrade from one major version to the next. Using it is purely optional so it would not harm users that do not want to use that feature.
